The Shego/Ron pairing has baffled me for as long as I’ve been in KP fandom. Ron doesn’t possess a single trait that would even remotely appeal to Shego as she’s depicted on the show. Pretty much the only way I could see her ever deigning to give Ron the time of day was if she was flirting with him…

One of the main reasons I don’t like Kigo is because it’s a Shego pairing that gets all the attention instead of Drakgo, and tends to show up a LOT in Drakken/Shego internet searches (I’m not crazy about getting something completely different than what I’m searching for). Even so, I can sorta-almost-kinda see why some people ship it, if I tilt my head and squint. I really wouldn’t go as far as to say it makes sense (Kim/Monique or Kim/Bonnie makes sense), but I can almost see it.

With Rongo, though…count me out. Not only is it completely incomprehensible to me, but it actually makes me physically shudder. Especially after season 1, when Ron got that new (and not improved) voice. Not in any universe can I imagine Shego being attracted to Ron. I can, however, imagine her screaming shutupshutshutup before throwing him off a cliff with sharp rocks at the bottom— if some bizarre set of circumstances that would never happen led them to go on a date.

Agreed on both counts. Also, why isn’t there more Kim/Bonnie or Kim/Monique? Kim/Bonnie meets as many Foe Yay requirements as Kigo does, and they were rivals long before Shego entered the picture. And as for Kim/Monique, the best friends turned lovers trope is a standard in fandom. That said, since Monique barely appears on the show it’s not surprising that folks tend to overlook her when trying to find female matches for Kim.

The Shego/Ron pairing has baffled me for as long as I’ve been in KP fandom. Ron doesn’t possess a single trait that would even remotely appeal to Shego as she’s depicted on the show. Pretty much the only way I could see her ever deigning to give Ron the time of day was if she was flirting with him to upset Kim, and I think she’d have to be very bent on hurting Kim (or be handed an opportunity too good to pass up) to take it further than that.

That said, it would be amusing if Ron’s attraction to Shego didn’t quite die after their first encounter, and Kim secretly stewed over Ron’s fondness for the villainess without knowing why she cared so much.

when my dad was in college he had a friend who told a girl he’d take her on a date unlike any other she’d ever been on and so he took her to the supermarket to watch the lobsters fighting in the lobster tank

they’re married now
